Aerial Video Production

Here is a short aerial video I produced after visiting Northwest Montana this fall. It was shot using a Solo Pro drone and a GoPro Hero4 Black. The compact nature of the drone, space in the car and ease of getting off the ground made this a perfect choice for this aerial project. The only downside to using the GoPro for this project was the inability to set the aperture along with shutter speeds. Changing light like we had that day created havoc with several of the shots. But at the end of the day, the footage was very useable and made for a striking video of one of the most amazing tree species in the forest. I only wish I would have gotten there about two weeks earlier – when they were in full golden glory. I’m guessing that in the following week most of these trees were dropping most of their needles.

The color of the Larch trees this fall were the most amazing I’ve seen in years.

Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks and months. I’ll be posting photography and video shot from an Inspire 1 Pro with a Zenmuse x5 Camera.
